The decision of Duchess Meghan (38) and Prince Harry, 35, of theirs resigning royal duties plunged the palace into a deep crisis. As if the Megxit stress wasn’t enough for the couple, Meghan now faces new anger: Her father Thomas Markle (75) is said to testify in court in a trial against his daughter, according to British media.

Thomas Markle showed lawyers text messages from Meghan and Harry
Thomas Markle has already shown lawyers text messages that he exchanged with her before his daughter’s wedding in May 2018. These are intended to show how the relationship between daughter and father crumbled. Some of the SMS are listed in documents filed on Tuesday in the High Court in London. In the documents it should be noted that Thomas Markle wrote to his daughter that he could not fly to Windsor for her wedding because of a heart operation.

There is a possibility that he “has to testify against his own daughter in court”
He then received a message from Prince Harry. In the SMS he was accused of hurting his daughter – the message “hit him deeply”. In response, Markle reportedly wrote, “I didn’t do anything to hurt you, Meghan, or anyone else. I’m sorry that my heart attack is an inconvenience for you. »

It is not yet known when the process will take place. “The fact that so much of the evidence appears to come directly from him and he appears to be cooperating with the newspaper offers at least the possibility that he will have to testify in court against his own daughter,” said “BBC” reporter John Donnison.
