International Day Nelson Mandela was established by the UN General Assembly on November 11, 2009 and is celebrated on the birthday of the former president of South Africa. The event aims to highlight Nelson Mandela’s contribution to the development of a culture of peace and freedom. They also appeared at this year’s celebrations at the headquarters of the United Nations Meghan Markle i Prince Harry.

During the celebrations in honor of the former president of South Africa, Prince Harry gave a speech in which he not only spoke about the achievements of Nelson Mandela, but also referred to the current situation in the world.
