Megawati used to mobilize PDIP to demo SBY

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Politician Democratic party Rachland Nashidik answered the statement of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan who criticized the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).

Rachland said PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri often criticized SBY while serving as president for two terms. In fact, said Rachlan, Megawati even mobilized PDIP cadres for demonstrations and discredited SBY.

Good morning, Mr. Luhut. Pak SBY prays for the Government and the people of Indonesia from the pandemic. In the past, when Megawati lost the election, Megawati did not only criticize, she mobilized PDIP demonstrations on SBY,” said Rachlan via his Twitter account, @RachlanNashidik, Thursday (29/7).

“The cadres: Hasto to Jokowi, have discredited SBY until now, seven years after SBY is no longer in charge,” he added. Rachland has allowed his statement to be quoted CNNIndonesia.com.

Rachland’s statement came after Luhut asked SBY to act like the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia BJ Habibie.

He stated that he only wanted to remind the public that Megawati also filled the democratic space when SBY was in charge.

That reminds me of how Mrs. Mega, the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia, as long as SBY was in charge, filled our democratic space with PDIP criticism and demonstrations.,” said Rachlan in another tweet.

Luhut had asked SBY to sit quietly while reminding that a president who has finished serving does not need to feel as if he is in power. He stated that SBY could follow the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia BJ Habibie.

Luhut said this was in response to the criticism conveyed by SBY in 2018.

“Yes, he’s a former president, we respect him. I don’t have any objections, I told Pak Bambang (SBY) okay, that’s his right. But everything is just entrusted, the leader when his era is over, yes, like Pak Habibie, want to sit down It’s nice to come from time to time, criticism is okay. There’s no need to feel that those in power are currently below us,” said Luhut.
