The fifth president of the Republic of Indonesia, Megawati Soekarnoputri attended the wedding reception of the president’s son Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Parangep, at Puro Mangkunegaran, Solo. Megawati was accompanied by her daughter Puan Maharani.
monitoring detik com, Sunday (12/11/2022), Megawati wore a red kebaya, while Puan wore a white kebaya. Behind Megawati and Puan, BIN chief Budi Gunawan and PDI Perjuangan general secretary Hasto Kristiyanto can be seen.
Before shaking hands with brides Kaesang and Erina Gudono, Megawati and Puan shook hands with other guests. Megawati and Puan immediately stepped onto the bridal stage.
Megawati and Puan took the stage together. They shook hands with Jokowi, Iriana Jokowi, Kaesang, Erina and Erina’s parents. While on the wedding stage, Kaesang salim with Megavati.
After shaking hands, Megawati and Puan took a group photo with the parents of the bride and groom.
Earlier invited guests were seen starting to arrive, ranging from 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), 11th Vice President Boediono, to Defense Minister (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto. Like other Jokowi ministers, Prabowo was seen wearing a black beskap complete with a brown blangkon. Prabowo appeared to be chatting before entering Puro Mangkunegaran.
Other Jokowi ministers who attended included Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md, Minister for Agricultural Affairs and Spatial Planning Hadi Tjahjanto, Menkumham Yasonna Laoly and President Moeldoko’s Chief of Staff.
Not only that, Kaesang and Erina’s wedding ceremony was increasingly attended by other figures, including 9th Vice-President Hamzah Haz, 10th and 12th Vice-Presidents Jusuf Kalla, KSAL Admiral Yudo Margono, PBNU President Yahya Cholil Staquf, the general president of the Gelora party. Anis Matta, Vice President of the Gelora Fahri Hamzah Party.
