The Head of State chaired last Thursday a meeting on his second Priority Action Plan (Pap II) in order to accelerate the recovery of the economy. Several ministers took part in this meeting, that of Oil and Energy Makhtar Cissé.
Absence authorized by the President …
Only the absence of the Minister of Petroleum and Energy was well noticed in the room. According to some sources, the absence of Makhtar Cissé was authorized by the President of the Republic.
For medical reasons …
The Minister of Petroleum and Energy was sick and bedridden. “The Witness” adds that Makhtar Cissé was struck down by a cold on the background of the flu due to fatigue.
… And preserve the health of others
And to put President Macky Sall and certain members of the government invited to this meeting at ease during this pandemic period, Makhtar Cissé preferred to be absent, on the advice of his attending physician.
