The Scottish Government is offering families and young people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city to move to one of Scotland’s beautiful islands.
People who agree to spend their lives on the island are offered a £ 50,000 reward.
That sounds pretty incredible, but it’s true. The Scottish Government has decided to pay around 100,000 pounds (€ 58,677.54) to move to the island.
This idea is being implemented to reduce the rapidly declining population of the islands. Such a plan will cost Scotland more than five million pounds.
“Everything we can do to curb depopulation trends must be done,” the official told The Times.
