The Doctors ’Syndicate said it has monitored the death of 3 doctors and the infection of 43 others with the emerging Corona virus, since the crisis began in mid-February.
The union said, in a statement, today, Saturday, that 2 of the deaths were caused by a community infection away from work. .
The union called on all the competent authorities to follow up on the provision of all prevention requirements in all medical facilities and emphasize the accuracy of their use, with the need to quickly make the necessary smears for those in contact with them for positive cases in application of scientific protocols.
The union stressed that all doctors are keen to wear the necessary personal protections and not to start working without them to protect themselves and society, knowing that the Ministry of Health announced the availability of all supplies in all medical facilities.
She appealed to the Medical Association, the Cabinet, to quickly add injured and deceased medical team members to Law No. 16 of 2018 honoring the martyrs and the injured.
