KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) will carry out additional capital without pre-emptive rights (PMTHMETD) or private placement.
The plan has won the blessing at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (EGMS) which was held last June 24, 2019. “MNC intends to issue 600 million new shares with a nominal value of Rp 100,” said the director of Media Nusantara Citra in an information disclosure, Tuesday (18/8).
It was further explained that the PMTHMETD will be implemented at an exercise price of IDR 855 per share. Thus, the total fresh funds that will be obtained by MNCN through this action can reach IDR 513 billion.

The PMTHMETD implementation will be carried out on 27 August 2020. Meanwhile on 31 August 2020 there will be notification of the results of the PMTHMETD implementation.
Citing information disclosure MNCN On July 1 last year, the PMTHMETD funds will be used to pay debts in foreign currencies which bear interest charges. This step was taken to reduce exposure to interest expenses, particularly interest expenses in foreign currencies.
For your information, on Tuesday (18/8) trading at 13.12 WIB, MNCN’s shares were at a price of Rp. 915. Quoting data from RTI Business, since the beginning of the year MNCN shares have decreased by 43.87%. However, since the last three months its shares have recorded a 10.24% increase.
