Media: Next PES May Go Free | Games

Konami is seriously considering making the next installment of Pro Evolution Soccer shareware. This was told by journalist Andy Robinson, citing his sources.

According to Robinson, this is why Konami made a release a network test for PES 2022 last week called New Football Game. The developers have claimed that they want to check the network load during multiplayer matches, but this is most likely due to the fact that PES will become free.

A year ago, the developers of Pro Evolution Soccer announced that the game in versions for PS5, PC and Xbox Series X will switch to the Unreal Engine in 2021. Previous parts of the series were released on Konami’s own Fox Engine.
