Mbark Boussoufa was a condiment on the Belgian fields for years. First at Ghent and then at Anderlecht. The Moroccan midfielder saw his contract terminated and is now a transfer-free player.
After leaving Anderlecht, he passed Anzhi, Lokomotiv Moscow, again Ghent, Al-Jazira, Al Shabab and Al Sailiya. Especially clubs where the big money is present. At the latter club, Boussoufa and Al Sailiya agreed to end the collaboration.
And so the Moroccan playmaker is free to go wherever he wants. Is he returning for a third and last time to the country where he had his most beautiful period?
Boussoufa has an impressive track record in the Jupiler Pro League. The midfielder won the championship twice, won the cup and even managed to win the Supercup three times.
On a personal level too, Boussoufa often won prizes, with the highlights being the Golden Shoe in 2006 and 2010. He was also elected professional footballer of the year three times and won the Ebony Shoe three times.
