The champions of the country proved their superiority only after two quarters of an hour. The first goal in this match was scored in the 29th minute, after Nuno Mendes’ left side action, the ball went to Kylian Mbappe, and he beat the rivals’ goalkeeper with a shot from a few meters.
The French international scored the second goal five minutes later. Then he received a long ball from Danilo Pereira and with a lob he increased the score to 3:0 (earlier he scored a goal to make it 2:0 Neymar). This was just the beginning of Mbappe’s performances.
Even before the break, the 24-year-old could enjoy a hat-trick. In the 40th minute he got a pass from Vitinha and found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper. He swung the ball gently and in a moment it was 4-0.
In the 56th minute, Neymar sent a long pass towards the Pays de Cassel penalty area. The goalkeeper of the rivals had closer to the ball, but missed it and it hit Mbappe’s feet. He extended the lead with a shot into an empty net PSG which is 5:0.
In the 64th minute he scored a goal to make it 6:0 Carlos Soler. A quarter of an hour later, the Spaniard crossed into the penalty area, where Mbappe was waiting for the ball. With a shot from the closest distance, he set the score at 7:0. As it turned out, he also broke the club record. He became the first footballer in PSG history to score five goals in a single match.
In the 1/8 finals of the Coupe de France, PSG faces a much more difficult task. The Parisians will play Olympique Marseille.
