Mayors of Saltillo and Austin unveil the brotherhood mural

Saltillo and the city of Austin, Texas, further strengthened their ties of friendship and educational, tourist, commercial and industrial exchange by unveiling the Mural of the Brotherhood, in the Plaza de las Ciudades Hermanas.

The mayor of Saltillo, José María Fraustro Siller, and Steve Adler, Mayor of Austin, unveiled the commemorative plaque that endorses the brotherhood dating from 1968 and in which they have shared knowledge about culture, arts, science and technology.

Chema Fraustro stressed that this wall made by the urban artist and graphic designer Julio César Ávalos “Chus”, represents the bond of friendship and fraternity between the two cities in a twinning of more than 50 years. For her part, Adler assured that “the relationship with Saltillo is one of family, very special, and of great support between the communities.”
