Mayor Halsema will close Amsterdam beach immediately | Inland

The reason is that a deceased woman was found in the water on Thursday and a missing swimmer in bad condition was taken out of the water in the evening. He was resuscitated and rushed to hospital. The man’s condition is currently unclear.

Mayor Halsema’s spokesman says that the two incidents are reason to close the beach and the catering facility at Blijburg immediately. “In the coming days we will investigate whether the water is safe there.”
