Mayor Aaf Reminds Pekalongan Residents to Beware of Dengue Fever

TRIBUNPANTURA.COM, PEKALONGAN – It has been raining with high intensity for the past few days in Pekalongan City.

Even a number of areas in the City of Batik experienced floods and puddles.

With the high intensity, the Pekalongan City Government is on standby to anticipate everything that might happen, especially Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF).

The reason is, the rainy season is the breeding phase for mosquito larvae.

Environmental cleanliness needs to be considered by the community.

Pekalongan Mayor Achmad Afzan Arslan Djunaid said, although currently the Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing, the people of Pekalongan City are asked not to be careless about dengue fever, especially now that the weather is entering the rainy season.

“Although we have zero Covid-19 patients in the hospital, this should not make us feel victorious and careless, that there is still the possibility of the threat of new variants of the Covid-19 virus.

Hopefully it doesn’t reach Pekalongan City.”

“We also remind you that don’t ignore the potential for routine diseases that can afflict the community in certain seasons, such as when it has entered the beginning of the rainy season, namely the presence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF),” said Pekalongan Mayor Achmad Afzan Arslan Djunaid, Tuesday (16/11/2021).

Aaf, his nickname, the Mayor of Pekalongan, asked the public to remind each other to jointly maintain a clean environment.
