Google Rolls Out May Update for Pixel Phones

Google has recently released the May update for Pixel phones today (May 7). This update includes stability improvements for the devices and addresses certain camera performance issues specifically for the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro models.

In a community post, Google announced the rollout of the update to Pixel devices running the latest Android 14, including the newly launched Pixel 5a and above. The builds for the global versions of these devices are labeled as AP1A.240505.004/005 and the update includes the Pixel Tablet as well. While the rollout begins today, it will be conducted in phases over the next week, depending on the carrier and handset model.

The May update not only brings the latest security patch, but also significant bug fixes and performance improvements for Pixel users. Users will observe enhanced stability and performance for Bluetooth LE audio on Pixel devices, including the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet.
