Oil prices on the international markets are rising due to the war in Ukraine, and it will be felt at the pump. A price increase of 15.7 euro cents is exceptional. Last week, diesel had already become 8.1 cents per liter more expensive. Refueling with diesel will cost 40 percent more tomorrow than a year ago.
The maximum price for heating oil (50S) will also increase further. For orders of less than 2,000 liters, 2.37 cents per liter is added to 1,1662 euros. If you immediately buy more than 2,000 liters, you will have to pay up to 1,1356 euros per liter. That is an increase of 2.36 euro cents.
“The rise in oil prices has been going on for some time. First because of the improving economy, but now the Russian invasion of Ukraine is the cause,” said VRT journalist Michaël Van Droogenbroeck. “Gas prices are also flirting with record levels.”
