On a daily basis, the largest decrease in customers is observed in small format stores, which is associated with even stricter restrictions than in the first Covid-19 “wave” – ​​the store may have a significantly smaller number of customers, ie 1 person per 10 m2.

“This, of course, has a direct impact on Maxima Latvija’s financial results, especially in our stores located in shopping centers, but now the priority is public safety, so if we see that even stricter restrictions are needed, we will definitely act.

So far, Maxima Latvija has invested more than 1 million euros to implement various security measures to limit the Covid-19 virus both in stores throughout Latvia and in the administration.
