Max Günther wins New York E-Prix, Stoffel Vandoorne forced to retire

After 727 days of waiting, Formula E is back on the tarmac in Brooklyn (New York) this weekend for the tenth and eleventh rounds of season 7 of the World Championship in the discipline.

This Saturday evening, it’s time for the first race. While Cassidy flew to victory, Günther took the opportunity to overtake two cars at once and take the lead 7 minutes from the end of the race. The German driver wins in front Jean Eric Vergne and Lucas Di Grassi.

“CIt was not easy to overtake, but I managed my race well and took my chance when there was an opening“said the pilot.

Stoffel Vandoorne had to make a pit stop 10 minutes from the end of the race. The Belgian driver finally gave up. This is already his 4th this season. Difficult to play the title in these conditions.
