Mauro Caviezel leads the combined Hinterstoder after the Super-G. He is 0”23 ahead of the French Alexis Pinturault and 0”24 over the Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde before the slalom (12:45).
Second the day before on this same track during the real Super-G, the Grison skier confirmed his current good form in the Austrian resort, and in front of a large audience despite the coronavirus crisis. He was thus the only Swiss to enter the top 10.
Luca Aerni conceded 1”64, while Loïc Meillard, returning to competition, lost 1”77. But both can consider moving up the rankings well during the slalom round, where they are traditionally more comfortable. The same remark can be applied to the Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen, who is 1”83.
