Trachtenkapelle Obermettingen reorganizes the top of the club / Numerous honors for decades of loyalty.
. The Trachtenkapelle Obermettingen (TKO) made a change at the top of the club. Matthias Böhler is taking over the chairmanship from Julia Kohler, who resigned from office during the annual general meeting. The musicians hope that they will soon be able to make music together again. And they are hoping for a Christmas concert. The general meeting took place as an online event.
“The TKO would like to hold the district music festival of work district 8 in 2023, then the TKO will be 65 years old,” said Julia Kohler. In her annual report she mentioned the open-air rehearsals, the place concert carried out under hygienic conditions, which took place as a “picnic concert”. The TKO also took part in the community’s holiday program. Even if the contacts were on the back burner, Julia Kohler emphasized that the “TKO-Blättle”, Zoom events, communication via WhatsApp and small gifts for Santa Claus and Christmas kept contact with the members. She regretted that events and the association honors for Peter Güntert and Stefan Böhler had to be canceled. However, a cupboard for the storage of the traditional costumes was acquired in the rehearsal room of the traditional costume band and the sponsorship for two “benches” in Obermettingen was taken over. Secretary Ramona Schattmaier added to the chairperson’s report. Cashier Stefan Böhler gave a detailed report on the income and expenses of the financial year. The TKO achieved a profit of around 1000 euros in 2020.
Conductor Horst Malzacher waived the rehearsal statistics. He especially thanked the other chairman, Paul Brogle, for organizing the open-air rehearsals. He regretted that no joint rehearsals were possible, but emphasized that the fun of music would bring everyone back together. Mayor Tobias Gantert had an easy task in the elections. The new board team consists of the chairmen Matthias Böhler, Sven Gantert and Paul Brogle. Cashier Stefan Böhler, secretary Ramona Schattmaier and the assessors Tina Gantert and Bianca Kohler were re-elected.
The Trachtenkapelle Obermettingen currently has 40 active musicians, 47 honorary and passive members, currently no pupils in training. The conductor is Horst Malzacher.

The honors were: Tina Gantert, Annalena Malzacher and Hansruedi Hallauer (ten years active); Isabella Zolg and Tanja Göldner (25 years active); Horst Malzacher (50 years active); Christian Appelhans and Alexander Zolg (25 years passive); Bernhard Hilpert and Dieter Schmidt (30 years passive); Sigrid Geng, Markus Kromer and Thomas Malzacher (50 years passive).
