Damon humorously mentioned that he joined Krasinski’s training sessions simply because he had nothing else to do at the time.

However, he made an exception if acclaimed director Christopher Nolan were to offer him a role. To his surprise, Nolan did reach out, and Damon eagerly accepted the opportunity to work on Nolan’s atomic bomb thriller, “Oppenheimer.” Damon shared with Colbert that he had a feeling Nolan would have a new project in the works, given the director’s unpredictable nature. While he didn’t know if there would be a part for him in the film, he left the possibility open.
