Master Chief’s face to be shown in Halo series for the first time | news

Paramount will reveal the appearance of Chief Petty Officer John-117, better known as the Master Chief, in the Halo series. This was stated by executive producer Kiki Wolfkill in a commentary for the IGN portal.

According to Wolfkill, the creators of the show decided to show the face of one of the key characters in the Master Chief franchise, so that the audience would have more empathy for the hero. At the same time, the producer noted that she understands people who do not want to reveal the identity of the Master Chief after so many years – in the entire history of the Halo series, the hero has never appeared without a mask. The main role in the series will be played by Canadian actor Pablo Schreiber (“Bubble Boy”, “American Gods”).

The film adaptation of the Halo series will be released on March 24, 2022 at Paramount+ (formerly CBS All Access). The show will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Wrath of the Titans) and Otto Bathurst (Robin Hood: The Beginning, Peaky Blinders). Former creators of the series submitted first full trailer announced about renewing the show for a second season.
