Former USR leader and current Renew Europe MEP, Dacian Cioloș, condemned the Bucea massacre in a message posted on Facebook a day after the events. He described the crimes as “atrocities” and said that Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca should declare a day of national mourning, in solidarity with the Ukrainians.
Ciolos called the crimes a “massacre” and said decisions were needed to “completely isolate Russia and Putin.”
- “The atrocities committed in Bucha leave the world speechless. A moment of peace and mourning is a minimum of humanity. In solidarity with the Ukrainians and to show that the Kremlin’s criminal regime has crossed the red line of humanity, the prime minister should immediately declare a day of national mourning. I urge the leaders of the ruling parties not to wait. The massacre in the localities around Kiev must be urgently condemned, and then decisions are needed for the total isolation of Russia and Putin, “Dacian Ciolos wrote on Facebook.
