EA and Bioware reminded today about the recently slightly dusty Mass Effect series. A refreshed edition of the well-known trilogy has been announced, as well as a completely new, although so far mysterious game.

Mass Effect will be released in the Legendary Edition
Unofficial reports have proved correct once again. As suggested, EA and Bioware will release the Mass Effect Legendary Edition pack. It includes the games Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 (campaign only), as well as their expansion packs, promotional weapons, armor, and packs. Importantly, graphic enhancements are to appear, including support for 4K resolution. We’ll have more information in the coming weeks, but we’ve mentioned improved textures, shaders, character models and selected effects. EA’s message is not surprising – it should be much nicer.
The legendary edition of the Mass Effect trilogy already has a pre-set release date, is expected to be in the hands of interested players in spring 2021. As for the list of target platforms, this one is quite long. Includes PC as well as Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5.
A new Mass Effect is born
Some will probably be more pleased with the other announcement. There has been some speculation about the new installment of the Mass Effect series for several years, but the developers were not officially willing to discuss this topic. This has changed today.
In addition to the above information, the work on a completely new game was also mentioned. Casey Hudson from the Bioware studio assures that this is done by an experienced team, although at present we cannot count on any specifics.
Meanwhile, at BioWare, an experienced team is working hard to implement their vision of the next chapter in the Mass Effect universe. The project is still in its early stages and we cannot write anything more for now, but we look forward to the opportunity to share with you our vision of the next steps.
