Marvel Studios: Hawkeye, a potential leader like Captain America?

Like characters like Sam Wilson and Wanda Maximoff, Clint Barton is one of the secondary heroes of the MCU about which the public ultimately knows little, and who have not yet really been put forward. Things will change with the series, however. Hawkeye who in addition to teaching us more about the archer, will show him as a mentor to a new heroine, Kate Bishop. Marvel Studios fans will therefore surely discover a new side of his character and, like Jeremy Renner, imagine him in a more important role.

I would personally like to see him in a close leadership role like that of Captain America.

In an interview with BBC Radio, the interpreter of Clint Barton has indeed confided that he would see Hawkeye lead your own team of heroes, kind of like Steve Rogers with the Avengers. He stated “I believe you used the word underused. You know, he was the point guard of the West Side Avengers. I would personally like to see him in a leadership role like Captain America. In fact, I think. that he would be successful at making decisions and doing that stuff like a quarterback, instead of being a catcher. […] It would be really interesting, I think, to see him do that. ”

If we are to believe some rumors about future phases of the MCU, besides a new Avengers team, these are other groups of heroes that could emerge, so much opportunity for Clint to become a leader. What seems certain is that Jeremy Renner is ready to take his character even further. This will obviously depend on Marvel Studios’ plans for Hawkeye’s future, which are not yet known. Will the series serve as a goodbye, or will it be the start of a new adventure for the archer? You will probably have to watch the episodes to find out! See you on November 24 on Disney + for the broadcast of the first two.
