According to Kevin Feige, the director of Marvel Studios, a transgender character has been written in the story in one of the upcoming superhero films. Feige confirms this according to the BBC during a question round at the New York Film Academy.
According to the Marvel director, the character is in a film that is currently being recorded. He also announced that more LGBTI characters are being added to Marvel films. “Especially transgender characters,” Feig confirms.
The film in question is not specified, but it could possibly be The Eternals. The recordings of this are currently in progress.
It was confirmed earlier that there is a gay character in this Marvel movie. A deaf superhero will also be added to the series of characters.
