Telegraaf’s Mike Verweij has followed the case all the way and announced on Wednesday morning that Martinez was not present at Ajax training as a result of the negotiations.

According to the Daily Mail, Tuchel is said to have said that he would rather focus on the collective than on individual players, and that Raheem Sterling was a better signing in that way. The newspaper writes that Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have also turned down the star striker.
