Young midfielder renewed with Eagles until 2028
Martim Neto renewed this Tuesday with Benfica until 2028thus extending his contract with the club for another five seasons.
Speaking to the club’s official channel, the 20-year-old midfielder was “very grateful” for his entire journey at Benfica – which began when he was just 12 years old. “[Benfica] It was a club that gave me everything since I arrived at the age of 12. They always did everything to make me feel good and I am very grateful for what they did for me. It’s been nine years of a lot of learning and I hope it continues like this”, began by saying the midfielder, who has already made his debut for the main team.
Martim Neto makes a “very positive assessment” of the nine years he has carried with an eagle on his chest, assuring that he will take advantage of the pre-season with the first team to “learn as much as possible with the whole team”. “It’s a very positive balance. The coaches and the structure have always supported me and I’ve grown a lot as a person. Pre-season? I’ll try to learn as much as possible from the whole team.
