Martigues Handball has “the goal of finishing first”

A great team and great goals. Reinforced by the arrival of Théo Derot and several young people from the training centers of Istres and Aix, Martigues Handball simply wants to finish first in his group of N1. The coach wants to continue to grow the club to bring it to the Proligue.

Théo Derot, Thomas Tricaud and Lucas Ruiz side by side on the pitch. The former Violets, teammates in Istres, are now reunited in Martigues in a Sang et Or team which really looks very good. In the offseason the MHB made a nice recruitment with 4 ambitious young people (see below) and a very experienced player. The club’s biggest blow is undoubtedly the arrival of Théo Derot (interview to be found here). The French international and former player of Istres, Nantes and Aix had ended his professional career in June 2019 but he “was overtaken by the desire to taste again the joys of the ball that sticks”.

With its good workforce, the club can in any case logically envisage a very big season and play the leading roles in National 1. “I have always coached” beautiful “teams, indicates the trainer Franck Bulleux, but we found a form of alchemy. As always, we will try to win all the matches. We really have something to respond to adversity. The objective is to finish first and to move the club slowly towards the Proligue. We make sure that everyone takes ownership of this objective! “

For the moment the preparation is going well with 4 games and 4 victories even if it was against teams of a lower level. After dominating the PAUC reserve twice, MHB faced Châteauneuf (N2) and Marseille (N2) at the Palais des Sports on Saturday as part of its preparation tournament. The Sangs et Or beat Châteauneuf 30/27 then the CSMP 35/25. “It’s always interesting to win. I’m proud of this team which meets my expectations. After we are in full preparation, we should not panic and we will have to see what it will give against N1 teams. “. First test tonight against La Crau.
