Martha Stewart is known to many as an enterprising businesswoman and television personality. And because in 2004 she was sentenced to prison for insider trading.
Could not stop thinking about it
This week, Stewart hosted The Ellen DeGeneres’ show, playing the game “Two Lies and a Truth” with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres (63).
Then Stewart (80) revealed that she had previously dated actor Anthony Hopkins, and revealed to DeGeneres why she ended it, writes Insider.
Stewart is said to have broken up with Hopkins because she could not stop thinking of him as Hannibal Lecter, the infamous cannibal from the 1991 film “The Night Warmer”.
Did not think it was true
Stewart started the second round of the game with the claim:
“I dated Sir Anthony Hopkins, but broke up with him because I could not stop thinking of him as Hannibal Lecter.”
Talkshow host DeGeneres thought the claim was one of the two lies, and was shocked when Stewart revealed that the claim was true.
– I have a big, scary house in Maine. It is located on a secluded hill all by itself on 100 acres into the woods, and I could not even imagine taking Anthony Hopkins there, Stewart says before continuing:
– I could not, because all I could think about was that he ate … You know.
Now 84-year-old Anthony Hopkins is considered to be one of the world’s greatest living actors.
It is still the role of the cannibal Hannibal Lecter he is best known for. He also won the Oscar for best male actor for portraying the infamous cannibal.
