What is the reason for Zuckerberg, who in the last 2 years has lost a significant part of his wealth due to a series of wrong decisions and new legislation in the US and Europe, remains unclear. But he’s certainly not the first billionaire to take this path. His colleague at PayPal, for example, is one of those already equipped with an underground bunker capable of withstanding even a nuclear attack.

Among the reasons, however, may be the concern that the several hot but local conflicts around the world at the moment could quite easily turn into global ones if one of the parties makes a wrong move. What is happening in Ukraine, where in practice a proxy war is being fought between Russia and NATO, is just one of many examples that can fuel the apocalyptic thinking of billionaires. Unlike us, however, in such a potential nuclear conflict, they are provided with a place where they can at least survive the first wave.
