Mark Sheehan, guitarist of the band The Script, has died at the age of 46. The band announced this via official social media. Sheehan died after a short illness.
“Dearly loved husband, father, brother, bandmate and friend Mark Sheehan passed away today in hospital after a short illness,” the report read. The family and band are asking fans to respect their privacy “during this tragic time”.
The exact cause of his death is not given.
The Script scored hits with songs like The Man Who Can’t Be Moved, Hall of Fame in Superheroes. The Irish band will perform at Pinkpop this year. It is not clear how Sheehan’s death will affect the planned performances.
