The Marine Corps has recently been practicing with a flying suit. The Marines could use such a suit to make it easier to move around.
The flight suit is a kind of armor with jet engines on the back and arms. With a throttle and arm movements, the suit can be steered through the air. Using stuntmen these kinds of applications for a long time.
“Thanks to the suit, soldiers can reach places that were previously virtually inaccessible,” writes Defense. Practices were taken with boarding ships and tests were carried out in built-up areas.
The Marines are enthusiastic about it. The tests are evaluated and the Ministry of Defense decides on how to use the suit. “The great thing is that these kinds of developments make things possible that we would not think of ourselves”, says Major of the Marines Mark Haasdijk. “This opens doors.”
