Marine Johannes providential despite the defeat of the New York Liberty in the WNBA

Marine Johannes could not prevent the defeat of the New York Liberty (72-81) on their floor against the Seattle Storm. But the 27-year-old Frenchwoman showed herself to her advantage on Sunday by scoring 23 points (3 rebounds, 4 assists), the best total for her team and her best total since her return to the WNBA in June. It will take that for the New York team, currently 5th (out of 6) in the Eastern Conference, to grab 4th place, synonymous with qualifying for the play-offs.

Same thing for her compatriot Bria Hartley, who did not participate in the Indiana Fever victory at home against the Chicago Sky, remained on the bench. Despite the victory, his franchise is currently last in the standings in the East. The season is still long but Indiana is running at 29.1% win rate. Next meeting Friday with a trip to Dallas. Marine Johannes’ New York Liberty will play on the Connecticut Suns floor on Thursday.
