Marian Muro Launches Muro Tourism Consulting: A New Consulting Venture in the Tourism Sector

Marian Muro begins a new stage as a consultant. After her departure from Turisme de Barcelona, ​​where she held general management, the executive has launched her advisory label to companies in the tourism sector, Muro Tourism Consulting.

This signature advises private and public sector organizations to define business models and marketing strategies, lobbying and regulatory analysis, destination management and launches of new tourism products. Also in terms of sustainability, market promotion and microsegmentation.

From executive to consultant

In September 2022, in the midst of the fight for political control of the entity, Muro was dismissed as general director of Barcelona Tourism, a consortium made up of Barcelona City Council, the Chamber of Commerce and the Barcelona Promotion Foundation. One year later, his position remains vacant.

After this chapter in her career, Muro, a well-known professional in the sector – she was general director of the Julià Group and Tourism of the Generalitat -, completed a master’s degree in senior management in out. And, once he finished this postgraduate degree, he decided to start his own business. tourism consulting.

CityMe Partner

Through this new business, the executive advises numerous companies. One of her clients is CityMe, a travel app that provides visual, audible, expert and local tour guides.

In this case, not only does it provide advisory services, but it has been involved in the shareholder with participation as a partner and has joined the board of directors. In the coming months, the consulting firm plans to hold various conferences and collaborate with companies immersed in transformation processes.
