“Marcus Rashford Fit for Key Manchester United Showdown Against Chelsea”

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford is expected to be fit in time for the upcoming game against Ajax Amsterdam. Despite missing the crucial win against Bournemouth due to illness, Rashford has returned to training and looks set to play a key role in United’s bid to secure qualification for the Champions League.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Ajax manager Erik ten Hag stated: “It looks like [Rashford will be fit]. Yesterday, he returned to training. He looks quite fit but we have to see today what is the outcome of the training, how we recover and then we will make our choices.”

United only need a point to secure qualification for the Champions League, which would officially condemn their arch-rivals Liverpool to the Europa League. As they also have the chance to stop Manchester City from winning a famous treble, ensuring they are in the top four as quickly as possible is of the utmost importance.

Despite missing key players in Lisandro Martinez and Marcel Sabitzer, United have most of their squad available for the game. They will take on a Chelsea team that is woefully out of form before finishing the season at home to Fulham on Sunday.

In terms of the United line-up, Rashford is expected to feature alongside the likes of David de Gea, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Antony, Bruno Fernandes, and Anthony Martial (4-3-2-1).

With Rashford back in action, United will be hoping to secure their place in the Champions League as soon as possible. With the FA Cup final and the chance to thwart Manchester City’s treble hopes still to come, they need as many of their key players as possible fit and ready to go.
