248, this is the incidence rate what reached the Rhône Sunday July 25. An exponential figure when we know that at the beginning of July, it was 33 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. In just three weeks, the alert threshold set at 50 was therefore pulverized.

Update on the health situation in the Rhône

The situation is all the more worrying for young people. The incidence rate is racing for 20-29 year olds, it is 791 !

Unfortunately, collective immunity is not ready to be achieved because vaccination is still stagnating. Only 59.32% of Rhone residents have received a dose of vaccine.

Or, face au Delta variant which represents 96% of contaminations in the department, 80% of people would need to be vaccinated to obtain collective immunity according to some scientists.

Because if the vaccine does not always prevent contracting the coronavirus, it considerably limits its distribution and prevents severe forms of the disease. The saturation of hospitals should therefore be less than during the previous waves.
