Light of hope: A parents’ café is still missing in the foyer of the new Martin-Luther-Hof family center in Nürtingen
In this 30th season of the Christmas campaign “Light of Hope” of our newspaper, six social projects will be supported with the incoming donations. This includes the expansion of the new Martin-Luther-Hof family center in Nürtingen with additional offers. The equipment for a regular parents’ café is to be purchased for the foyer.

NÜRTINGEN. The Evangelical Luther Church parish on Jakobstrasse in Nürtingen is no longer recognizable. In the past few months a new building has been built that offers many more options than the old building. The new Martin-Luther-Hof family center was created through the joint efforts of the Luther church community and the Tragwerk Foundation. A place for encounter, exchange, advice, education and support for people in the district and beyond. Socially disadvantaged people should receive special attention. There is no shortage of ideas for additional activities and offers in the family center.

Aperture 2020: The winners of the local preliminary decision have been determined. Our big newspaper reader photo competition this year was all about the corona pandemic. Everything took a little longer – including the evaluation of the submitted images on the subject of “elements”. But the result is impressive: more than 300 photos were received in the Blende Internet portal. Our photo gallery shows the 30 best pictures that were judged by our jury.
