Nearly BGN 5 million is earmarked for the Tsarevets Street repair, he found Plovdiv24.bg. According to the information on the e-procurement site, the construction and repair activities will be carried out after the selection of an engineering contractor. Or more specifically – design, construction and exercise of copyright supervision on “Tsarevets” Street in the section from “Hadji Dimitar” Blvd. to “Svoboda” Blvd. According to the documentation, this is the first stage of the street reconstruction. The deadline for submitting offers is November 14th.

However, a problem could arise in the future, because on Tsarevets Street in the section from Hadji Dimitar Blvd. to Peshtersko Shose Blvd. it covered the streets: Tsarevets Street, Moder Street, Alexander Stamboliyski Street, Petar Stoev Street and Makedonia Street.

This means that before the Municipality of Plovdiv carries out the engineering, it will have to wait for the aqueduct to finish the works to replace the sewer network. A problem is likely to arise here, as the company may experience delays and the collector project starts in the “south”, not “west” region. In the attached documentation and from the correspondence exchanged with the Municipality of Plovdiv, it is clear that the Aqueduct cannot commit itself to a specific start-up date of the site.

S. “Tsarevets” is an important transport artery for the city of Plovdiv, providing access to the “Hristo Smirnenski” district from “Peshtersko Shosse” Blvd., “Hadji Dimitar” Blvd., and in the near future “Moder “Street. In the section from “Peshtersko shosse” to “Hadji Dimitar” avenue, the road is asphalted, in visibly compromised conditions, which require urgent measures to repair it.

According to the attached public procurement documentation, after the completion of the construction of the “Moder-Tsarevets” plant, the intensity of car traffic will increase significantly and this will require road reconstruction.

In addition to the laying of the asphalt, the replacement of the old traffic lights, the creation of an accessible environment for the movement of people in a disadvantaged position, parking lots where possible, cycle path, new lighting, parking bags and waste containers are planned.
