Many innovations at Sky: All of this is now changing at the Pay TV broadcaster

For many years, the pay TV giant Sky has stuck to the price model for its own offer. Apart from small details, nothing has changed in the actual basic structure. Above all, the extreme price jump after a 12-month minimum term has been a thorn in the side of many Sky customers. But now the company has communicated new prices and conditions for the content. We’ll tell you what new and existing customers can now prepare for.

At first glance, Sky’s new pricing model is a bit confusing. The good news first: the price doubling after twelve months is off the table. Instead, the Sky contract changes to a monthly cancelable subscription after the minimum term. This is still a little more expensive than in the previous months, but it is much easier to end than before. Alternatively, the customer can extend his contract by one year and then pays the cheaper subscription price again. The new model is also to be adopted for existing customers.
