Manhattan DA Sues Rep. Jim Jordan for Intimidation and Harassment Over Trump Indictment

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday against Republican Rep. Jim Jordan, accusing him of a “blatant campaign of intimidation and harassment” over the indictment of former President Donald Trump.

Writes about it “European Truth” with reference to AP.

In the lawsuit, Bragg asks to invalidate the subpoenas that Jordan, as chairman of the US House Judiciary Committee, issued or plans to issue as part of his own investigation of criminal charges against the ex-president.

The US House Judiciary Committee previously called former Manhattan District Attorney Mark Pomeranz, who previously led the Trump investigation, to testify. Pomerantz publicly argued with Bragg about how the criminal investigation into Trump should have been handled and resigned from his prosecutor’s job last year.

Bragg claims he is filing the lawsuit “in response to the unprecedentedly daring and unconstitutional attack by members of Congress on the criminal prosecution and investigation against former President Donald Trump that is ongoing in New York State.”

This is an attempt by Republicans in the lower house of Congress Obtain information from the Manhattan Attorney’s Office about the Trump investigation through inquiries to conduct their own investigation into the actions of the prosecutor’s office. In addition, the media reported that both the prosecutor and the judge in the case of the ex-US president received numerous threats.

As you know, on April 4, Donald Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business documents in a criminal case.

According to the prosecutor’s office, Trump created the schemein which he paid to remain silent or cover up stories that could harm his reputation and, according to prosecutors, affect the results of the 2016 US presidential election.

It is the last paragraph that provides for criminal punishment for Trump.
