Man Utd star Cristiano Ronaldo in a cryptic post saying “the road is full of potholes and obstacles” days after the side step

CRISTIANO RONALDO has left Manchester United fans scratching their heads with his latest social media post.

The Red Devils talisman threw a sensational midweek strike after being substituted against Brentford.

And later, boss Ralf Rangnick told the 36-year-old to cut the attitude short in a reprimand.

He played the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s last-gasp 1-0 win over West Ham, but had fans searching for answers after the final whistle.

On his Instagram account after Marcus Rashford’s latest triumph, he posted: “One more important win before the Premier League stoppage, one more step towards our goals.

“The road is bumpy and bumpy, but we stick together and work hard to make our fans proud! Come on, hell!”

Club legend Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford last summer after 12 years away.

His comeback started strong when he scored TWICE on his second debut against Newcastle.

But since then things started to turn ugly as the Premier League giants suffered a series of shocking results.

SunSport revealed that CR7 could LEAVE Manchester if Rangnick’s team fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

And earlier this month, the Portugal star hinted that his teammates needed to prove they had the mindset to fight for trophies.

United are fourth in the table, but the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham still have plenty of games to play.
