A 40-year-old man who appeared smiling in a photo with his pregnant wife was arrested after she fell off a cliff.
The events date back to June 2018, when Hakan Aysal and Semra Aysal, 7 months pregnant, were on vacation in Butterfly Valley in the city of Mugla, Turkey.
During the trip a romantic photo was taken on top of a cliff just before the alleged accident. Semra fell into the void and, like her baby, died instantly.
In the midst of the investigation, which has not yet concluded, the Prosecutors say that it was not an incident, but a premeditated act on the part of the husband to be able to collect insurance that he had previously contracted.
According to the accusers, the couple sat on the top for a long time, about three hours, just because the man hoped that no one was around to commit the murder.
