Man is thrown onto the road in a car accident

On Sunday at 12:12 a.m., a 45-year-old driver was driving on the A3 motorway in the direction of Chur. As the Glarus cantonal police wrote in a statement, he crashed into the tunnel wall on the right-hand side in the Kerenzerberg tunnel. Why is still unclear. The car then crashed into the left wall of the tunnel and the driver was thrown onto the road. The car stayed on its roof.

It is said that the 45-year-old suffered various injuries and had to be taken to the Cantonal Hospital in Chur by the ambulance service. The car was totally damaged.

The motorway in the direction of Chur had to be completely closed for three hours in order to record the accident, recover the car and clean the road. The Näfels-Mollis fire brigade and the oil and chemical brigade were on site. (red)
