Messi scored 73 goals in a season in 2011-2012. Rono’s highest goal score is 61 goals scored in the 2014-2015 season.

But in terms of assists, Messi is far ahead of Ronaldo. While Messi created a total of 296 goalscoring opportunities for his teammates in club football, Ronaldo’s teammates scored 201 times from assists.

Ronaldo is ahead of Messi in the Champions League, which is considered one of the best tournaments in world football. Ronaldo scored 140 goals in 183 Champions League matches, while Messi scored 129 goals in 161 matches.
