The man who was arrested in a boat on the Kloveniersburgwal after finding a deceased man is now suspected of manslaughter. He is said to have closed the hatch of the cabin during a fire.

The body was put in the boat in early July found. It later turned out that the victim had probably died of one carbon monoxide poisoningafter a small fire had raged. The suspect was arrested a few weeks ago in Geneva, Switzerland.
Today the examining magistrate ruled that he would be detained for two more weeks. According to the examining magistrate, it can currently not be said with certainty that the 28-year-old suspect has started a fire.
There are, however, sufficient indications of manslaughter for closing the hatch. He would have known that the 29-year-old victim was still in the burning boat and could not get out.
