Midfielder Malaysia Muhammad Akram Mahinan not willing to coach Tan Cheng Hoe fired after failing at AFF Cup 2021 (2020) after being eliminated by the Indonesian National Team.
The Malayan tiger failed to reach its target of reaching the final after being beaten 1-4 by Indonesia in the last match of Group B of the AFF Cup. The defeat prevented Malaysia from qualifying for the knockout stages.

The Kuala Lumpur City midfielder also compared Malaysia’s achievements in the 2021 AFF Cup with being runner-up in the 2018 AFF Cup.

“If you look at the 2018 AFF when it advances to the final, the team’s preparations are ripe. All the players have been called up in March, but the preparation this time is a bit different with a limited time,” Akram continued.
Malaysia failed to reach the semifinals of the 2021 AFF Cup after finishing third in Group B with six points from two wins and two defeats.
