The eight-quarter finalists for the FA Cup are only 90 minutes away from joining Wembley for the last four. Admittedly, the legendary London stadium will be cut off from supporters and its atmosphere. But as Mikel Arteta points out, “It’s still an event to be able to play in this stadium even if it’s empty.”
And this FA Cup also remains prestigious and desired for the teams still in the running, not including Liverpool, eliminated by Chelsea in the previous round. A boon for the other Big 6 clubs, frustrated by the Reds and often disappointing personal results, who see their way all traced towards this trophy.
