(Belga) A major fire broke out overnight from Sunday to Monday at the Transcoma waste treatment company in Genk. This information was reported on Facebook by firefighters, who asked residents to keep their windows and doors closed.
Firefighters were called around 12:30 a.m. after the fire alarm went off in the building. On site, it turned out to be a major waste fire. Around 2:30 a.m., firefighters announced that the fire was still raging, but that they had been able to limit it to the production hall.
