The new managing director of Mainfrankensle GmbH Veitshchheim is Claudia Khler. The Supervisory Board resolved this with effect from November 1st. She succeeds the acting managing director Erich Mller, who has been managing the business on an interim basis since the accidental death of managing director Thomas Reu in February 2020.

At the beginning of 2020, Claudia Khler, in addition to her full-time work as a project manager at Manfred Hertlein Veranstaltungs GmbH, supported the Mainfrankensle team at various events and was hired as event manager on March 1.

Khler has been in the event industry for more than 20 years. During this time she was responsible, among other things, for the organization and handling of numerous tours and concerts of various genres such as pop, classical, rock and musicals. As a project manager and trainer, she has taken on, among other things, promoting young talent.

The chairman of the supervisory board, Mayor Jrgen Gtz, particularly thanks Erich Mller who, in addition to his work as community treasurer, had taken over the provisional management of the Mainfrankensle in the past few months.

With her positive and friendly manner, she quickly integrated herself into her new area of ​​work. We are very confident that despite the current situation the Mainfrankensle will survive the crisis. “

Due to the corona pandemic, numerous events have had to be canceled or postponed since spring 2020. Despite the understaffing, according to Gtz, the Mainfrankensle team mastered the situation together and reacted to the current situation as quickly as possible. With a protection and hygiene concept specially developed for the event venue, at least tests and meetings could take place in June 2020.

In consultation with the health department, despite the partial lockdown, a video conference of the Bundeswehr and two days of IHK exams were held this week. A maximum of 112 specimens can be found in the large hall, taking into account the necessary hygiene and distance regulations. In the second half of November, twelve days of exams for the Law Faculty of the Julius Maximilians University in Wrzburg are planned. In cooperation with streaming service providers, hybrid events are also possible in the Mainfrankenslen.

“Fastnacht in Franken” in the Mainfrankenslen without an audience and not broadcast live

The Mainfrankensle are mainly known in Germany for the “Carnival in Franconia”. While the traditional ceremonial meetings of the VCC and TSG in the Mainfrankenslen had to be canceled due to the corona, happy news came from Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) and the Carnival Association of Franconia. As already reported, they plan to broadcast the classic “Fastnacht in Franconia” on February 5, 2021 and the youth program “Woe if we let go” on February 14, 2021, despite the pandemic.

As the artistic director of the Franconian Carnival Association, Bernhard Schlereth, explained when asked, both programs are planned to be produced in the Mainfrankenslen from the beginning of January 2021, but according to the current status there will be no audience and no live broadcast.

The community reopened the event center in January 2015, which was completely refurbished for 13.5 million euros and expanded to include additional conference and group rooms and a classy restaurant. While the operation of the Mainfrankensle, which opened in 1981, was previously assigned to a tenant, the marketing was taken over by Mainfrankensle GmbH, which was founded by the municipality as the sole shareholder in mid-April 2014 and has a share capital of 300,000 euros.

The supervisory board In addition to the mayor as chairman, there are four officially appointed members appointed by the municipal council groups. Since the constituent meeting of the new municipal council in May 2020, this has been Marc Zenner (Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board) for the CSU, Gnter Thein for the Greens, Elmar Knorz for the SPD and second Mayor Elmar Knorz for the UWG Winfried Kntgen. The shareholders’ meeting, on the other hand, consists only of the mayor as a representative of the community.
